2). The Kimball-Jenkins House

The Kimball-Jenkins House is Concord's best surviving example of the brick High Victorian Gothic mansion. Built by Samual Sparhawk Kimball between 1877 and 1882, the dwelling was designed by the firm of Cutting & Holrnan of Worcester, Massachusetts. (Amos F. Cutting of this firm designed the New Hampshire State Library in 1893.) This house is remarkable not only for its grand design and solid construction of pressed brick and granite, but also for its little-altered interiors, carriage shed, and well-landscaped grounds.
