Imagine if we still had the old Boston and Maine Railroad Station. Maybe if Heritage Concord had been there in 1962 it would have been saved.
Heritage Concord is actively working to preserve our historic resources.
We still have the Page Belting Company buildings, but their future is not clear. Heritage Concord has received a grant to study re-use options for this site. Our efforts can help save it from destruction.
Heritage Concord also co-sponsored the publication of Capital Views, A Photographic History of Concord, 1850 - 1930, a photo essay authored by Elizabeth Durfee Hengen and Gary Samson that captures, in pictures and text, the rich texture of our community's past.
Photographs are great, but having the real thing to enjoy is even better. Many of Concord's treasures are vulnerable.
